Quite a novel day
Quite a novel day. Today is the first day in years…and I literally mean YEARS, that after I got up and fed the cats I didn’t go directly to my computer to check emails, Facebook, etc. Instead, I woke up early, made some coffee, fed the cats and went into the guest bedroom to finish reading a book I had started awhile ago. The room was warm and cozy, awash with a bath of incoming morning sunlight. I had a blanket over me and my cats all came to snuggle into assorted parts of my body. It was glorious.
I then spent the afternoon with Dan Power – we went out for brunch, then we found a great place to share a few Bloody Mary’s. I’m completely drowning and behind in nearly every aspect of my life – sending out thank you’s from attending BlogPaws / Cat Writers’ Association, filing, accounting, catching up on emails, marketing my books, and so much more. But you know what, it doesn’t matter. So much so, I’m going to go grab another book and enjoy the rest of the day with my kitties… Sometimes you just have to put life to the side and just live…
Glad you took a mini-vacation. When you do that willingly you know you need it! You’ll still get those responsibilities fulfilled, and maybe with more joy since you’ve had a break!
You are absolutely right Bernadette E. Kazmarski – if you’re willing to listen to what your body is saying to you, more times than not, it is far wiser than your brain! My responsibilities will be waiting for me, that I know for sure and it’s nice to just breathe or a second! And my cats are quite happy for the mini-vacation, too!
Enjoy your much needed me time, Dan time and kitty time!!
That is the truth! Take some time to enjoy life.
I love this! Enjoy the rest of your day.
You are so correct!! How are you and your mom??
I love this post!
she had to “paws” the internet world and get into the real world 🙂 Wasn’t a “Claw-tas-phoe!” 😉
Sounds great to me.
I miss my bedroom lol
It’s a beautiful room! Love to have you stop by!
Good for you!!
Enjoy <3
I try to have one screen-free day a week. It doesn’t usually happen, but yesterday it did…. Yes, sometimes you have to just live.
Good for you!
